Magical Moments

Have you ever stopped half way through washing your face and looked in the mirror? Your skin is lined with little bubbles from where the soup and water mixed. They are small and when they catch the light they’re fluorescent. There’s something otherworldly, or magical about how you look with your face lined by shiny fluorescent bubbles. Something you would see in a super hero movie (although a superpower of bubbles isn’t exactly terrifying).

And as I looked up for a minute tonight while washing my face, I wondered how many of these magical moments I miss each day because I’m not paying attention. My ordinary life of work, and commute, and cooking dinner, and watching TV can be more, if I’m willing to look around me at the beautiful mixed with the mundane.
